When I started on my journey to eat locally sourced and/or organic health foods, I didn’t have any idea where it would take me. I knew I’d be cooking a lot of really great food (and thanks to Rouxbe Online Cooking School, my skills are improving daily). I didn’t know that it would rekindle a long-time interest I had in becoming a health coach. But it’s a funny thing about getting healthier—you want to help others do the same thing.
So I’ve taken steps toward changing my career and helping people find a healthy balance in their life. As a student at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I’m learning about more than 100 dietary theories and how to put my knowledge to work helping people achieve their health goals. How great is that? And since it’s a 100% distance learning course, I study from the comfort of my home at my own pace and connect with my classmates via social media tools. I love it!
My health coaching practice is Gutsy Health. I won’t officially launch until September of 2012, when I have my coaching certificate.
